Tonya L. BrooksBoard Secretary, Flo Creed-Jacobson Initiative
Tonya L. Brooks holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University and an Executive MBA from Suffolk University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master, bringing over 30 years of experience in project and program management. Tonya has led major initiatives across both non-profit and corporate sectors, including international aid organizations and Fortune 100/500 companies. Her career culminated in a decade of leadership at a prestigious Massachusetts engineering college before she transitioned to focus fully on her wellness practice. In 2009, Tonya founded Wings Wellness, a therapeutic massage and bodywork business. In 2022, she brought in Jake Jacobson, President of the Flo Creed-Jacobson Initiative, as co-owner when his practice, Beacon Wellness, merged with Wings Wellness. Together, they focus on customized massage, manual lymphatic drainage, and post-surgical and other wellness therapies. She serves as Board Secretary for the Flo Creed-Jacobson Initiative (FCJI), where she actively supports the organization’s mission of fostering mindfulness in schools. As one of FCJI’s mindfulness instructors, she teaches mindfulness to elementary school children, helping them build emotional resilience and self-awareness. Tonya is a proud mother of an adult son, and in her leisure time, she enjoys reading and writing poetry and fiction. She remains deeply committed to youth initiatives and community well-being. |
